Latitude and longitude should be entered in decimal degrees or degree/minute/second format. For example, longitude 96° 20’ 13.200” W can be entered as -96.337 or W 96 20 13.200, and latitude 30° 37’ 40.800” N can be entered as 30.628 or N 30 37 40.800. The latitude/longitude should be referenced to the WGS 1984 datum (or NAD83 datum which is nearly identical to WGS 1984). WGS 1984 is the datum used by most of GPS satellites.
